Future State of Payments Action Plan 2021 Update

In August 2020, AusPayNet published its Future State of Payments Action Plan. The Plan was the outcome of a consultation process that sought to establish what action was necessary to modernise Australian payments.

The Future State of Payments Action Plan 2021 Update, released in December 2021, provides an update on the actions to modernise payments and should be read in conjunction with the Future State of Payments Action Plan.

The Action Plan 2021 Update outlines significant initiatives underway that aim to ensure the payments system continues to meet the four key requirements of efficiency, resilience, adaptability and accessibility.
